Top Instagram-worthy Spots in Singapore

Singapore was always a top contender on my bucket list. Finally, getting to wander around this city was like a dream come true. If you’re on the hunt for Top Instagram-worthy spots, Singapore should definitely be on your radar.

The city has a riveting history. This small territory at Malaysia’s southern tip went from being a British colony to a bustling, modern democratic society in the 20th century. Nowadays, Singapore stands as one of Asia’s key city-states, home to the world’s second-busiest container port and the third-biggest financial hub.

It’s interesting to learn where the name “Singapore” comes from. It’s derived from two words: “Singa,” which means lion, and “Pura,” which means city – perhaps a nod to its promising future as an Asian lion.

Without a doubt, Singapore is packed with vibrant and breathtaking places perfect for photography. The city is full of colorful sights and greenery. Thanks to its tropical location, Singapore enjoys perpetual summer, making it a delightful blend of cultures on display for everyone to enjoy.

Still on the fence about visiting? Let me show you some of the most photographed spots in Singapore.

  • Buddha Tooth Relic Temple

The Buddha Tooth Relic Temple in Chinatown is a must-see example of Chinese temple architecture in Singapore. Its stunning design, inspired by the Tang dynasty, makes it a photographer’s dream. The temple is named because it’s said to house a relic of the historical Buddha which you can view on the fourth floor.

Gardens by the Bay

Now, Gardens by the Bay—what can I say? It’s hands down the most photographed spot in Singapore and one of the most snapped places worldwide. The man-made trees that look like something out of Avatar are just awesome. These structures, standing between 25 and 50 meters tall, are covered in real leaves and flowers. Make sure to catch the evening light and music show—it’s simply amazing.

I’d suggest visiting Gardens by the Bay during the day to explore attractions like the greenhouse, which houses the tallest man-made waterfall globally, and sticking around until night for the “Garden Rhapsody” show at 7:45 PM and 8:45 PM, which is free to watch.

This awesome multi-spiral bridge links the Marina Bay Sands Hotel to the Esplanade. It’s super popular for photos in Singapore because of its design. There are several platforms where you can take in the amazing city skyline.

At night, the bridge lights up, showing off its helix shape, which is actually inspired by human DNA. You’ll notice letters C, G, A, and T, which stand for the four DNA bases: cytosine, guanine, adenine, and thymine.

Where to Stay in Singapore?

Like I mentioned before, staying a night at Marina Bay Sands is a fantastic idea to fully enjoy everything the hotel has to offer without even leaving the resort.

You can explore the shopping mall, dine at one of the Sky Park’s restaurants, and sip a cocktail while soaking in the views. And, of course, you’ve got to spend some time in that amazing infinity pool.

But if you’re staying in Singapore for more than three days, I’d suggest spending the other nights at the Quincy Hotel. I’d definitely stay there again next time I’m in town. It’s in a great spot, just a quick 10-minute walk from Orchard Road, the ultimate shopping street.

This hotel stands out for its comfort, great location, friendly staff, and fantastic design and decor. It’s an excellent choice.

Have you visited any of these places? If you know any other “Instagrammable” spots in Singapore, let me know so I can add them to my list.
